In InputKit, the "Ambassador follow-up" sequence is automatically triggered when a client completes a satisfaction survey but has not yet left a Google review.
Why is this sequence being sent?
As soon as a client:
Completes a satisfaction survey
And has not left a Google review
… InputKit automatically sends the Ambassador follow-up sequence, inviting the client to share their positive experience on Google.
But why do some clients receive the sequence if they already left a review?
This can happen in rare cases, and here’s why:
InputKit matches Google reviews using the client’s full name.
However, some clients use nicknames, abbreviations, or different names on Google than the one they provided in their file.
When no clear match can be made between the client’s name in InputKit and their Google account name, the system assumes no review was published.
As a result, the client may still receive the Ambassador follow-up, even if they already left a review.
What should I do if this happens?
There’s no action required on your part. This behavior is expected and does not negatively impact the experience.
